Atlanta – The State of Georgia has received approval to compete in the highly recognized and acclaimed Miss Plus America TM Pageant System. MPA is the most recognized and fastest growing pageant system in the United States for plus sized women. Coronet Productions L.L.C. operates MPA and is committed to excellence in pageantry and healthy competition that promotes individuality, confidence and overall achievement among all contestants. Noel A. Booker Sr. dba Media Net USA has been appointed to serve as director of the Georgia State Miss Plus America Pageant. Media Net USA is a firm that specializes in the management of special events. Mr. Booker is an alumni of Morehouse College and has been responsible for the success of various special events including LAFFAPALOOZA!, America’s Urban International Comedy Arts Festival, The UniverSoul Circus and more. Media Net USA prides itself on delivering fulfilling high impact and spectacular events.
The Georgia Plus America Pageant provides a platform for full figured women to engage in dialogue on subjects they feel strongly about and contribute through community service to promote a positive influence. GPA is more than a competition — it’s a movement that will change lives in Georgia. This pageant brings awareness to the fact that all women can celebrate and take pride in whom they are. GPA celebrates the totality of who women are — mind, body, soul and spirit.
The director of the Georgia Plus America Pageant seeks confident full-figured women to represent their cities, counties or subdivisions for the Miss and Ms. categories. Title divisions are Miss (18-29) and Ms. (30 & up). Ladies in the Miss or Ms. division may be single, married, divorced or widowed. GPA seeks women that are competitive, aggressive in their quest to shine on stage, respect diversity, can speak in public, are goal oriented, self-controlled, energetic and command attention when they walk into a room.
GPA will be produced in coordination with The Georgia Women’s Empowerment Conference. GWEC is Georgia’s most powerful forum for women to empower themselves, their families and communities. The primary goal of GWEC is to provide women with information they can use in their everyday lives. Extraordinary keynote speakers, highly qualified panelists and relevant celebrity guests present valuable information women can use in their daily lives. GWEC is here to educate, inspire and empower women so they can enhance their roles in the community and excel in their everyday lives. More information is coming soon.
