The BET Hip Hop Awards often get opposing views about the quality of the show. Some viewers are satisfied with the final outcome, but others complain about the performances and the lack of continuity of the show. However, according to responses on Twitter and other social media platforms, the majority of the viewers raved about the cyphers.
This year’s top rappers featured in the cyphers included Eminem, Rick Ross, Ludacris, Busta Rymes, Kendrick Lamar, Royce Da 5’9, B.O.B., LeCrae, Big K.R.I.T. and Chris Brown. The cyphers represent hip-hop in its rawest form. Here are the most memorable verses from the seven segment cyphers on the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards. –amir shaw
1. Eminem
“I’ll be a horrible magician, because I’ll mess a trick up, fix your lips up to say something fly, or zip up. 2. Lecrae

3. Joe Budden
“If they’re teaching how to ‘Dougie,’ I’m condoning dropping out. Forced to wild, y’all birthed me than gave me up, I just perfected being hip-hop’s foster child. 4. Kendrick Lamarr

5. Busta Rhymes
