Louisiana rapper Webbie is back in the news again. This time around the Savage Life emcee is proving that his music isn’t the only thing that’s savage. After news broke a few weeks ago that Webbie was embroiled in a public feud with BET’s “106 & Park” host, Terrence J, the rapper has now fired off a threat toward the VJ.
According to The Boombox, the feud began on Oct. 14, when Webbie appeared as a judge on the Freestyle Friday segment of “106 & Park.” While thanking the judges for appearing on the show, Terrence abruptly announced Webbie was no longer welcome on “106 & Park.”
“We would not like to thank Lil Webbie, who is now banned from the show. We will not be seeing him on “106 & Park” anymore,” said Terrence during the program.
It’s unclear as to what exactly caused Webbie’s shocking BET ban, but rumors soon surfaced that while on the show, Webbie smelled of marijuana and whispered an offensive to remark to show co-host Rocsi.
Shortly after the incident, Webbie reportedly took to Twitter to vent about his ban and even threatened to “beat up” Terrence the next time he saw him. However, Webbie soon deleted his incendiary tweets and things seemed to cool down.
Apparently though, the rapper is still upset about the ban and in a recent video interview, took a few threatening shots at Terrence. When asked about the ban, Webbie fails to give an exact reason for his BET exile, but implies that a flirtatious encounter occurred between he and Rocsi, which upset a jealous Terrence. Webbie then adds that, “Should I say this, bruh? I’m slapping the f–k out of Terrence when I see him.” The threats continued as Webbie said that he would search for Terrence and repeatedly claimed that he would “beat him up.”
With a drug-related arrest from earlier this year already on his record, it would likely be best for Webbie to call off his hunt for violence and simply cut his losses or try to mend fences. –nicholas robinson
