NWA’s “F— the Police” was a statement all in of itself, and sort of a foreboding forecast of the ensuring L.A. Riots in 1992 when the LAPD beat Rodney King into a pile of jelly. The scorching cut did as much to bring attention to the problems of rampant police brutality in Los Angeles as legal giant Johnnie Cochran and comedic commentator Richard Pryor combined.
