Do You Believe in Ghosts? 5 Black Celebrities Who Say They've Made Contact With the Spirit World

John Salley, former NBA star player, was celebrating at a VIP table in the popular Atlanta nightclub Magic City when a fight broke out.

Gunfire erupted, and in the ensuing panic, Salley slipped and fell to the ground while trying to escape to safety. Chaos erupted as bullets sprayed all around him.

Salley said he felt himself being grasped firmly and lifted off the floor. He assumed that he was being helped by a security guard who was not only protecting Salley with his own body, but also lifting and rushing him outside to safety.

The basketball star gratefully turned around to thank the man who saved his life. He was astonished to look into the face of his best friend Lloyd, who had been murdered and left in a trash dumpster four years earlier.

Salley wants people to know, “I’m not delusional. I didn’t think I saw him. I’m not hoping I saw him. I saw him. And that being, that spirit, my best friend obviously to this day, saved my life.”
