Last month, an unnamed little birdie whispered a pleasant and juicy tidbit of info to the media, revealing the alleged sex of superstar couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s baby to the world. Though many took the news as fact, doubt still remained in some people’s minds as the couple have kept rather tight-lipped about their baby. But now Beyoncé’s “sister” and best friend, Kelly Rowland, has spilled the beans on the baby and confirmed the little tikes sex.
According to Bang Showbiz, via MTV News, Rowland confirmed to the U.K. news site that Jay and Beyoncé are indeed expecting a daughter.
“I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. They’re so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They made a little bundle of love. I’m so excited for them,” Rowland said. “I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyoncé at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled, but she will be very well looked-after.”
Kelly’s news confirms a report from In Touch Weekly, in which an alleged friend of Beyoncé told the site that the singer was thrilled to be having a daughter.
“Beyoncé is thrilled she’s having a daughter. She and her mother are so close, and she’s wanted to have that relationship with her own child,” said the friend.
Of course, Beyoncé isn’t the only one excited about the arrival of a baby girl. Last month, Rowland spoke with MTV News and explained that she’s ready to become an unofficial aunt to Jay and Bey’s daughter.
“I’m so happy for her and her husband [Jay-Z] and just excited to be an auntie — part two. First it was Julez,” said Kelly, referring to Solange Knowles 6-year-old son. And like an good auntie, Rowland said that she’s ready to watch over the couple’s kid any time they need. “I get to babysit, yes,” she said.
