Let’s face it, seven years ago when Rihanna first hit the music scene with her lukewarm album, Music of the Sun, who would’ve thought that she’d be where she is now? Yet, year after year, she continuously proved her detractors wrong, selling album after album and gaining fan after fan until finally reaching the top of music’s hierarchy and arguably becoming the heir apparent to the pop throne that Beyoncé has occupied for so long. American audiences are fickle, and if her health continues to fail and she continues fade and she begins disappointing on stage and in song, she will lose her place in music to another hungry upstart.
