Legendary emcee Ice Cube is no stranger to living life on the wild side. As one of the original members of the iconic and rowdy West Coast group N.W.A., the premier gangster rappers of the early ’90s and a slew of rough-and-ready film roles under his belt, Ice Cube knows a thing or two about being a bad boy. Now, the rapper-turned-actor will flex his acting and producing chops in a new revenge-themed television series for FX.
According to New York Magazine, Ice Cube is in the process of developing the new dramatic series, “Eye for an Eye,” for FX. Ice Cube will star in the series, which will be centered around a former paramedic who grows tired of caring for the victims of violent crimes and decides to take justice into his own hands.
Considering FX’s current lineup of gritty dramatic shows, fans of the West Coast emcee can expect a return of his bad boy image for the new series.
We must admit, we’re excited to see what series will be like. We’re also glad to see that Ice Cube is still thriving in the world of film and TV. Here are five other rappers who are also making major moves in the world of film and television. –nicholas robinson
