Jay-Z and Kanye West have already proven to be two of hip-hop’s biggest moneymakers, banking millions upon millions each year. But hip-hop’s dynamic duo recently showed off their expensive star power when they took home $6 million for performing at a sweet 16 party.
According to U.K.’s The Sun, billionaire Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour, whose family rules the oil-rich United Arab Emirates, paid Jay and ‘Ye 1.9 million pounds (roughly $2.92 million) each to perform at his sister’s 16th birthday party in Dubai two weeks before Christmas.
If only everyone could make that kind of money performing at a kid’s birthday party. We’re sure, though, that Jay and ‘Ye’s performance will eventually draw some kind of flack, like other artists performing for Middle Eastern millionaires.
