Need a Job? Atlanta Joins the Fight Against Unemployment

The state of Georgia closed out the New Year and ended December 2011 with a reduction in the overall unemployment rate to 8.5 percent, while the unemployment rate for blacks in Georgia was nearly double the state average  at 15.8 percent, indicating that  African Americans need to take advantage of  alternative all sources and sites for employment and training.

The website atlanta.tweetmyjobs.com has been created to help people in the African American community connect to businesses seeking employees. The website allows viewers to receive job opportunity updates to personal emails, phones, via Facebook  and Twitter.The site also suggests job channels that can be found on the popular social media sites.
