On Sunday, Jan. 22, many brides-to-be, wedding lovers, vendors and spectators filled the grand ballroom at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta, to attend the Second Annual Black Brides Bridal Showcase. It was an elegant mid-day soiree with a mock wedding, a live performance featuring Gary “Lil G” Jenkins from Silk, giveaways every hour, fabulous and unique vendors throughout the space, social media cafe, grooms lounge, and live music by DJ Blak Magic. Prizes that Black Bride gave away were a pair of Amritah Singh Earrings, a $1,000 gift certificate courtesy of Jendayi Collection, a sparkly Couture Anniversary Box, a wedding gown from Allure Bridal valued at $2,500, and the grand prize — a seven-night stay at Hattonchatel Chateau in France! The wedding gown was donated to Brides Against Breast Cancer, a non profit organization dedicated to helping brides diagnosed with breast cancer. After viewing a number of vendors tables and sampling yummy bites, there was a fantastic fashion show! Hundreds who attended hurried to their seats to see the most anticipated part of the show.
The beauties in the bridal show were stunning! The gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos and kids attire were awesome along with their hair and makeup. It was wonderful presentation with great African American designers. I haven’t attended an affair as beautiful as this in a while. It was extremely organized, well thought out, timely, full of talented vendors and over the top fashions all in one setting! I will definitely be back next year! Enjoy the photos!
