Diddy Launching a Music-Themed Cable Channel

Earlier this year, Diddy shared that he had major plans in store for the year 2012. And now, the mutlitalented hip-hop mogul has revealed that one of those plans is to launch a new music-themed cable channel by the end of the year.

According to Broadcasting Cable, the channel will be called Revolt and will launch on Dec. 12, 2012. Sources say that Revolt will be inspired by the early days of MTV and has even tapped former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon. However, the network’s programming will be geared towards a more urban audience with a focus on music and music news.

Details are still scarce about the distribution for Revolt, but the network will reportedly be distributed by Comcast and Time Warner Cable service providers.
