So as we move through time and take a moment to unwind in front of the TV, is it NeNe or is it people like you and me we want to see? Has celebrity status been placed on hold for me and you, that we even have to ask “where does it end and we begin” should give us our cue. For all us feel like we are special and are celebrities in our production of “To Be or Not to Be.”
But what happens to the black collective and what it means to be you and me? Cable stations and radio stations don t dictate our social standings, but we accept their version as easily as a status change on Facebook – like branding. Live your life in a dignified manner, and believe in a cause enough to take a stand, and protest if you will, draw a line in the sand. Experts say that Twitter brought about the regime change in Egypt so how will social media bring about change in the African American script?
I m interested in knowing what you think about what we should do. Please send your comments, I d love to hear from you.
Peace.
