Many across the nation have been outraged by the murder of unarmed 17-year-old Florida teen Trayvon Martin, who was gunned down on Feb. 26, by local neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman, in his father s gated community. Sadly and much to everyone s horror and rage, police have yet to charge Zimmerman, who has admitted to the crime of murdering Martin.
Now, celebrities like Russell Simmons, John Legend, Cher, Big Boi and many others are speaking out against the injustice and putting their weight behind an online petition at Change.org to see Zimmerman brought to justice.
