8. David Ruffin, The Temptations, 1941-1991
Ruffin collapsed in a Philadelphia crack house after sharing 10 vials with a friend in under half an hour. Ruffin reportedly had $40,000 in cash on him, the proceeds from a recent tour. The money was not recovered.
