Gene Simmons is the latest celebrity to express disdain for Rihanna, this time for the singer’s “karaoke singing.”
The KISS front man was on hand for a press conference March 20 announcing his group’s tour alongside Motley Crew when he decided to take a dig at the pop star.
“We are sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them,” Simmons said. “What you re gonna hear on stage is live music. The guys you see on stage playing their instruments are playing their instruments. No karaoke singers allowed. No fake bulls— – leave that to the Rihanna, Schmihanna and anybody who ends their name with an a. This is real stuff.”
Ri Ri has yet to respond.
Rihanna was previously dissed by actress Taylor Momsen of “Gossip Girl,’ who told Spin magazine, “People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna’s wearing f—ing leather jackets, and it’s really annoying.”
