Kim Confronts Cynthia
After weeks of catfights and finger-pointing, the dreaded “black baby” drama finally comes to an end when Kim confronts Cynthia at Phaedra’s blessing ceremony. After showing up hours late and sitting awkwardly through dinner with Cynthia, Kim decides to confront her after the ceremony in the parking lot. Cynthia denies ever mentioning a black baby, though admits in her confessional that she can’t remember what she said (she actually said “African babies”). After more badgering from Kim, Cynthia finally admits to saying it and apologizes for offending her. She also stumbles through a congratulations to Kim on her growing family, but as they walk away, the two mumble about their frustration over the confrontation.
