What do you hope to convey with the show, Mary, Mary?
Erica:
“I am so excited about being able to let my love show, my love for my husband, my love for my family, how challenging it is to take the Mary Mary hat — or wig off — and come home and just be Warren’s wife and [my children’s] mother. I cannot go out and live and love the whole world and then when I come home, and my family is like, “hi what about us?”
“They are my first priority, I am a believer and the Bible says charity or love begins at home.
“I hope that love will spread and people will see the possibility of having a good family, most people think in entertainment you can’t have a healthy family, you can’t be in entertainment with the delicate balance that kind of gives our manager a headache sometimes.
“I would hate to be singing to the world what Jesus says but when I come home my husband says I never cook, I don’t ever spend time, that would be hypocritical. Hopefully people will see that black love still exists and it’s good.
“We have happy husbands and we are happy wives.”
“Mary Mary” premieres Thursday, March 29, at 10 p.m. EST on WEtv (check your local listings).
