Corey Ward

At about 3 a.m. on July 14, 2002, Corey Ward, 18, was gunned down by Atlanta police officer Raymond Bunn, who was riding in an unmarked police vehicle patrolling the city’s Buckhead community. Ward was driving his mother’s Chevy Tahoe when he was shot. Bunn has said he feared for his life when he shot and killed Ward, who was behind the wheel of the SUV. He was indicted in 2005. The officers claimed self-defense, claiming Ward was asked to “stop” the SUV.
