Lamar Odom is officially done with the Dallas Mavericks, just weeks after reportedly being asked to play for a developmental league.
The “Khloe & Lamar” star released a statement today saying that he will “step away from the team” effective immediately.
He added, “I’m sorry that things didn’t work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs’ organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship.”
As previously reportedly, Odom was said to be demoted from the NBA to play for the Texas Legends. He will be listed as “inactive” for the rest of the season and could later be traded.
He and his wife, Khloe Kardashian, have been filming their reality show in Texas, after he was traded to the team from the Los Angeles Lakers.
