When Cube’s next original project struck gold, as well as top the American box office for two consecutive weeks, with 2002’s Barbershop, Hollywood really began to take note of the gangsta-turned-movie mogul. The popularity and demand would motivate Cube to spin a sequel (below), something that was becoming commonplace for him.
