Quincy Delight Jones, Jr., was born on Chicago’s South Side, a place renowned for breeding black musical talent. But then at age 10, Jones moved with his father and stepmother, to Seattle, a place that is definitely not known for being a hotspot for urban music. But it was here in suburban Bremerton, Wash., that the wayward Jones was set on the course of his unbelievable, record-setting, barrier-shattering career that has impacted tens of millions of people worldwide.
