T.I., The-Dream and Other Celebs Attend Hawks Playoff Game in Atlanta

Philips Arena usually has the makings of a red carpet affair when the Atlanta Hawks host one of the top teams in the NBA. Things remained the same at Philips Arena on Tuesday, May 1 as the Hawks battled the Boston Celtics during a Game 2 playoff contest.

T.I. and daughter, Zonnique, Demetria McKinney of “House of Payne,” The-Dream, Roddy White of the Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta city councilmember Kwanza Hall were all in attendance to witness the Celtics defeat the hometown Hawks 87-80.

The crowd’s intensity remained high throughout the entire game as the Hawks jumped on the Celtics early and maintained a lead until the fourth quarter.

However, the Celtics’ stifling defense and the Hawks’ poor short selection became the determining factor in a game that could have been lopsided with the absence of Rajon Rondo.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 36 points and Joe Johnson’s 22 points led the way for the Hawks.
