Beastie Boys' Founder Adam Yauch Dies at 47: Top 5 Beastie Boys Songs of All Time

Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys has passed from cancer at the age of 47. Known as MCA, Yauch was diagnosed with the debilitating disease in 2009 after doctors discovered a tumor in his salivary gland.

Yauch and the Beastie Boys were one of the first hip-hop groups to gain notoriety in the early 1980s and were often viewed as a wilder version of Run-D.M.C. The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.–amir shaw
