One of the longest running sitcoms of all time, “The Jeffersons” showcased the life of the Jefferson family, an affluent black family who made money the odl-fashoned way — they earned it. Each week viewers would turn in to see the adventures of Louis affectionately knows as ‘Weezy,’ her entrepreneur husband George, and son Lionel. Just as integral to the show were the relationships with their sassy maid, Florence and inter-racial neighbors Tom and Helen Willis.
