With smash comedies like Smokey and the Bandit and Hooper, Burt Reynolds was the biggest and most sought after actor in the late 70s. But, just as quickly, he disappeared from sight when his rugged star power began to dim. I guess he tried too hard to try to regain star status. In the photo on the bottom right, he actually doesn’t even look alive. That’s how most imagine he’d look as he’s being prepared for the funeral.
