D’Angelo and The Roots
D’Angelo and the Roots have collaborated several times over the years, with the Roots having contributed heavily to D’Angelo’s 2000 album, Voodoo. In turn, D’Angelo has also performed on a number of Roots albums on songs like “The Hypnotic,” “The Spark,”. D’Angelo was even on the original version of “Break You Off” before the Roots’ label replaced him with Musiq.
