Shape-shifting is a real occurrence in wildlife.
In 2006, Australia’s underwater photographer Michael Aw snapped a photo of the Indo-Malayan Mimic Octopus as it was shape-shifting into various forms while looking for a new home.
The life form in front of his lens shape-shifted from an eel, to a flounder, a lion fish, a jellyfish and a sea snake.
“The color doesn’t change, just its shape,” Aw said. “It adopts forms that are unlikely to be attacked and wants to fool predators into thinking “I’m dangerous and I’m not that good to eat.”
Aw followed the Mimic Octopus as it shape-shifted into various life forms; his photo earned him the coveted Wildlife Photographer of the Year award.
So, can humans shape-shift?
Well, yes, says shape-shift specialist John Perkins, author of Shape-shifting: Shamanic Techniques for Global and Personal Transformation.
“Shape-shifting begins with intent. You then give it power if you want it to occur in this world as opposed to the other worlds of non-ordinary reality. Action follows.”
Perkins continues, “Intent, energy, and action: Only when these three human forces are in place can you have true shape-shifting.”
The authors of the website deeptrancenow.com note that “according to the degree of transformation, shape-shifters are generally divided into two categories: energy shape-shifters and physical shape-shifters. With some, the ability to shape-shift has occurred spontaneously and they may have had a challenge learning how to control it. Others may have invested some time in developing this ability.”
Well, now it’s time for that video evidence. Tell us, what do you think?
