What drew you to this project?
It was Sharon Tomlinson’s and Mel Jackson’s dedication — the founders of Studio 11 Films — they showed great enthusiasm about the project. With their passion and will to win, there was nothing keeping me away from getting involved and dedicating myself to this project. I don’t believe in failing and neither do they. It was a perfect [match].
Where you were born/where you were raised:
I was born and raised in Columbus, GA (East Urban Heights)

What do you hope viewers walk away with after seeing this project?
[I hope they agree that] The Promise is a great movie, one of the best movies they’ll see this year, period, the production is well thought out and I hope they ask: “Where can this movie be purchased?

In high school, I worked at my church in the summer picking weeds out of the garden in 100 degree weather. It taught me a lesson of hard work and long hours which partly made who I am today.
