Chicago’s Pride Parade and Official Weekend Guide
Chicago kicks off the 43rd annual Chicago Pride Parade this weekend with a new route and host of awesome Pride events.
PRIDE PARADE: New Routes
Last year the Pride Parade was a destination for 750,000 people. This Sunday, June 24, 2012, the Pride Parade starts at the usual time, high noon.
This year’s location will start at Montrose Avenue and Broadway in Uptown and will end near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park.
The parade has been extended to five extra blocks, reportedly to provide optimal viewing, safety and a better way for people to get to public transportation.
