When the highly anticipated “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” premiered earlier this week on VH1, series star Joseline Hernandez (nee Shenellica Bettencourt) got more than she bargained for when fans vehemently insisted that she is not a female, but really a man. So, what’s a reality star to do to prove her sex? Well, apparently, tweet a naked photo of herself.
On June 19, Hernandez tweeted a full-frontal nude photo of herself, with the caption, “I am 100 percent women [sic] I’m clearly perfect cause that’s the only thing y’all can say sence I air my dirty laundry on tv. F ck y’all haters.”
However, critics were unconvinced by Hernandez’s photo and continued to call her “Jose” instead of Joseline. And, shortly afterwards, Hernandez decided to delete the photo, but not before several fans and media outlets took a screen shot of the photo.
And while the media investigates Hernandez’s biological sex, they’ve also dug up her criminal past. Apparently, the former Miami stripper star has several arrests under belt, including charges for lewd and lascivious behavior (aka prostitution), along with battery charges.
Well, it looks like Hernandez is in for one bumpy Hollywood ride, but looking at her role on “LAHHA,” it looks like she’s cut out for it.
And she’s not the only female celebrity to be accused of being a man. Check out Hernandez’s NSFW photo as well as some other women who’ve been called “he” instead of “she” below. – nicholas robinson
