Did the 11-year-old get her tongue pierced? 

While Willow Smith hasn’t released a new song since December, she’s remained in headlines for constantly expressing herself by altering her appearance.  In 2011 the Smith kid, 11, shaved her head and later posed proudly with her Amber Rose-like hairstyle. Following that she went crazy for color and dyed it yellow, orange, pink and green. Now whether to declare her independence or just to express herself further, Willow may have added a ring to her tongue.

Over the weeekend pictures surfaced online showing the preteen rocking a silver stud in her mouth. Joined by another adolescent with a piercing through her chin, the pictures quickly sparked controversy with many wondering if the young ladies were too young for the semipermanent jewelry.

Upon further inspection however, there are doubts that the stud in Willow’s mouth is real; it looks much too big to be a new piercing and is more than likely a magnetic replica bought at local jewelry stores.

Nonetheless, Willow’s latest pictures show that she’s a child — who although she may not necessarily want to be famous as she previously told her mother, Jada Pinkett, — definitely enjoys attention.
