Stunt 101: A History of 50 Cent's Biggest Publicity Stunts

50 Cent’s History Of Publicity Stunts

50 Cent is a platinum-selling rapper, an activist aiming to end world hunger and an actor. He’s ajokester who loves to pull pranks on fans and the media alike. The “Street King” turned king of publicity stunts may or may not have struck again this morning when his personal website, ThisIs50.com, posted pictures of him after he was injured during a car crash. The pictures of the incident certainly look real, 50 is strapped down with a pained expression on his face, his bulletproof car is dented, but then again it’s 50 Cent, so who knows what to believe.

In the past 50’s used a series of fake beefs with rappers to gain popularity for one of his products or to draw attention away from the accolades of others. Today marks the release of Rick Ross’ Self Made 2 Maybach Music compilation album, would it really be all that surprising to hear that 50 was hurt while attempting to listen to the project? Considering that that’s a prank he’s pulled in the past and the fact that he’s publicly aired out his issues with Ross, the answer to that question is “no.”

So what are some of the biggest stunts this “Teach You How to Stunt” rapper has pulled? Check out a few of his most memorable below. –danielle canada
