For Susan D’Angelo, it’s never too late to find your groove. The Florida born and raised southern belle found her niche in acting just over a year ago, years after her mom recognized that she had the gift when she was a teen. The signs were always there, and she’d express her love for the craft during Halloween especially. Here, the mother of two daughters, shares a little bit more about herself. –yvette caslin
Why did you take this role?
For another chance to act especially with wonderful people on a great project.

One movie watched that you’ll never forget?
Scarface, when I was 18. I walked out of the theater in a daze.

I don’t want to list because there are too many and I don’t want to leave anyone out.

How about movies I’ve seen many times –Tombstone, Jaws, Meet The Parents, and Braveheart, to name a few.

Previous, current, upcoming works:
[I am] currently working on a TV series role for “Idle Times” and an Eric Coker romantic comedy feature, Blasé. I have done a music video, modeling and several shorts; the latest of which is Forbidden, an 11Eleven11 project. Other features I have had a speaking role in are When Love Was Simple, Beat Street 2012, Newbourne County, and the latest Prosper, directed and produced by Deronte Smith. [In it], I played an emotional role as an officer.
Favorite cities:
Atlanta, of course. New York is cool. Probably Chicago, if I ever get to visit. Love St. Augustine. And, would fall in love with any city in Italy.
First CD, tape or LP:
First off, that was a long time ago. I remember asking Santa Claus for Neil Diamond’s song “Sweet Caroline” on a 45″ [record] when I was 8-years-old.
Moment I knew I wanted to perform:
The day I filled in for someone in a short film. It was on a whim and I loved it.The day I filled in for someone in a short film. It was on a whim and I loved it.
Worst flubbed line:
I can’t remember that, although I am sure there are some, but I do remember forgetting a few.
Most challenging role:
I would say two roles that were originally geared toward a male character. One was a casting director and the other one was an officer.
Worst job you ever had:
As a child, it was picking up the rotten tangerines before I mowed the grass. Recently, it was working as a cashier at a drug store.
Career if you weren’t a performer:
I would love to reopen my Angel store gift shop.
You’ll never understand why:
People want to understand everything, including me. Because it comes on a ‘needs to know basis’.
