By the time you are a seasoned adult, you’ve become well-acquainted with the politics of the Academy Awards and how the best work is not always rewarded at the world’s biggest movie awards stage. There is a select cadre of actors and actresses whom we believe delivered superlative performances that transcended the times, but who were not recognized with a bronze trophy.
These are the actors who should have won an Oscar by now, hands down. But the academy tends to bungle the process on an annual basis and the situation often gets submerged into the cesspool of likability and popularity instead of who was the best that year.
Further down the list are the actors, whose resumes are already decorated with an Oscar trophy, who should have won for a better, previous performance long before they actually handed an Academy Award.
