The revelation that “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart cheated on her dreamboat boyfriend rocked the worlds of teen and preteens enthralled in the pair’s on- and off-screen relationships. As previously reported, Stewart, 22, was outed by Us Weekly magazine after being photographed in a steamy embrace with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” said Stewart in a public apology. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry,” she added. Sanders would later release a statement apologizing to his wife and two children.
Stewart’s boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, has long been revered for his portrayal of Edward Cullen, the hunky vampire husband of Kristen’s character Bella in the “Twilight” romance trilogy. No word yet on his reaction to the news.
