Cuba Gooding Jr. may be one of Hollywood’s biggest nice guys, but apparently, even nice guys have a rough side. Police in New Orleans have issued a warrant for the arrest of the Jerry Maguire actor after he allegedly got into an altercation with a female bartender on July 31.
According to “TMZ,” the incident happened at the Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street, Tuesday morning around 3 a.m. A witness claims that Gooding was being bothered by bar patrons who recognized the actor and began taking pictures of him.
When Gooding began cursing at the patrons, a female bartender came over to him and asked him to leave. But Cuba allegedly became enraged and shoved the bartender into a wall.
One of the bartender’s co-workers then called 911, but Gooding left before cops arrived on the scene.
According to the police report, the bartender told Gooding that the police were on the way and he shoved her again before he left the bar.
Police now have orders to arrest Gooding on sight, and it’s more than likely that Gooding will be arrested as he is currently in New Orleans to film The Butler with Oprah Winfrey.
