Kelly Rowland is more than just a successful singer/songwriter whose talent has kept her in the spotlight for over 10 years, she’s also a smart business woman. The former “X-Factor U.K.” judge was spotted this week at an event for Steel, the international watch brand ‘Big in Oversized Watches,’ to unveil her special edition timepieces for the company.
Taking place at the top of the Standard at The Standard Hotel NY, the event was hosted by TW Steel’s co-owner and CEO, Jordy Cobelens. It’s been a fantastic night here in New York and we’re delighted to finally unveil to the world the watches designed with Kelly,” commented Jordy Cobelens. “For me it’s amazing to finally share with everyone the watch designs we worked on together and to see everyone’s enthusiasm for them. I simply love how they look, they’re both exciting and stylish which was my goal all along,” added Rowland herself in a statement.
In addition to promoting her oversized timepieces, Kelly recently checked in with the Russ Parr Morning Show to speak on her forthcoming album. While an actual release date is still unknown the ex-Destinys Child singer confirmed that it was inspired by the dating life of herself and her friends.”You know when you’re having girl talk with your girls and you listen to so many things that women are going through, it sparks so many ideas. It was just so much to talk about,” said Rowland “[There were] so many stories!”
