Bath salts contain manmade chemicals related to amphetamines. Similar to the adverse effects of cocaine, LSD and methamphetamine, bath salt use is associated with increased heart rate and blood pressure, extreme paranoia, hallucinations, and violent behavior, which causes users to harm themselves or others.

Fake Marijuana Can Be Fatal

High school students and those in their late teens have flocked to these fake drugs.

According to the 2011 Monitoring the Future survey of youth drug-use trends, 11.4 percent of 12th graders used Spice or K2 in the past year, making it the second most commonly used illicit drug among seniors.

There was a major fake drug bust in a Lake County, Illinois (a suburb near Chicago) recently. Chief Wayne Hunter, of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, called the fake drug explosion a plague. “We took 22 kilograms of K-2 off the street,” he told reporters. “This is the new plague upon our land. This stuff is geared toward children, kids.”
