Black Women Included in the ‘Most Powerful Women’ Ranking
For the ninth year in a row, the 100 most powerful women in the world have been ranked based on dollars, media presence and impact. Forbes magazine has presented their annual list, noting female standouts that include CEOs, women in technology, celebrity role models, entrepreneurs, so called “healers” and businesswomen. Included in the top 50 are five black women who impact the world through their leadership in the world of business, politics and entertainment. Two of the aforementioned are CEOs who broke barriers to run powerhouse companies, another is a history making woman in Washington, while the final two shine in the world of entertainment.
