Celebrities Who Head 'Forbes' List of Highest-Paid Stars

Oprah Winfrey is the highest paid celebrity in the world. Again.

In related news, the sun rises every day in the East.

Withstanding a colossal $125 million earnings loss, the multifaceted media maven tops the Forbes list for the highest-paid celebrity for the fourth year in a row. Winfrey ended her 25-year reign as talk-show queen last year and her network OWN has been struggling financially, but she still made an estimated $165 million.

Dr. Dre made a surprising entry onto the list, landing deep in the top ten on the Forbes list because of the phenomenal success of his ultra-expensive “Beats by Dre” headphones. Tyler Perry is also high on the list, stacking another $100 million plus onto his Atlanta movie palace, which should more than cover the damages of yet another fire on the set.

Oprah has proven quite dexterous in that she has turned her couch into an A-list interview studio, called “Next Chapter.” But she doesn’t have to shoulder the entire empire on her own to bring in the cash. Harpo productions shows include “Dr. Phil,” “Rachael Ray” and “The Dr. Oz Show,” her magazine, and her satellite radio station.

Michael Bay, who trailed behind by a mere $5 million, got the balance of his Benjamins from The Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide.

Here is are the celebrities who top Forbes list of highest-paid stars for 2011.
