Chad Johnson Could Serve 1 Year in Prison if Convicted of Head-Butting Evelyn Lozada

Chad Johnson continues to deal with more bad news. According to reports, Johnson could serve a year in prison if the assault on his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, is upgraded to a felony. The assault charge can become a felony if the Broward County State Attorney chooses to consider Johnson’s prior arrest for domestic violence during his college days.

In 2000, he was arresting for slapping his ex-girlfriend while at Oregon State University. Johnson was given community service and didn’t have anymore run-ins with the law until recently.

Johnson’s life went down the drain shortly after marrying Lozada in July. The two got into an argument over a receipt for condoms and Lozada claimed that Johnson head butted her. Johnson was eventually arrested and Lozada filed for divorce two days later. Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins and the couple’s reality TV show was canceled.
