In February 2009, Chris infamously assaulted his then-girlfriend, pop star Rihanna, the night before the Grammy Awards. Though the couple tried to reconcile, Rihanna eventually broke up with Chris and he received five years’ probation and six months of community service and was served with a restraining order.
