The NFL is often considered the most volatile professional league when it comes to longevity. Most players enter the league at 22 years-old and retire before the age of 30. However, there are always a few players who play at a high level well into their mid-30s.

But some proven players aren’t given the opportunity to play while other players with questionable skills remain on NFL rosters.
