The Breakdown
“The Breakdown” and “The Number” are two segments of commentary. On “The Breakdown,” Holmes discussed the epidemic of black men in prison. He said that prison culture is spread through fashion, music and art and revealed that 1 out of 3 black males will go to prison in their life. He also talked about prison being a business where private firms and small towns are profiting from prisons. The companies guarantee 90 percent occupancy.
