A child prodigy if there ever was one, music and his almost preternatural ability to quickly learn how to play instrument seemed a hereditary trait passed down from his musical parentage. Incredibly, Prince wrote his first song at age 7 when most 1st and 2nd-graders are still trying to learn how to merely talk and were obsessed with cartoons.
