Honoree Taliah Waajid is the “The Queen of Curly, Coily, Natural Hair Care.” Having over 25 years of experience in the natural hair care business, she’s at the forefront of natural hair care and braiding services and education. In 1998, she opened her first boutique in Harlem, N.Y. In 1991, she moved Braids Weaves & Things to Atlanta where they specialize in extension braiding, transitioning to natural, natural hairstyling, twisting, locking, weaving and chemical free hair care. In 1994, she started Taliah started the World Natural Hair, Health & Beauty Show™.
