John Ronan, 1989-91
Halle Berry dated Chicago dentist John Ronan, who tried to sue her for $80,000, money he claimed he loaned her between 1989 and 1991. Berry countered saying the money was a gift. In 1994, a judge ruled in Berry’s favor dismissing the case because Ronan didn’t list Berry as a debtor when he filed for bankruptcy in 1992.
