Halle Berry married Atlanta Braves star player David Justice just after midnight in Atlanta as part of a New Year celebration on January 1, 1993. They met in 1992 after Berry honored his request for a head shot, with a surprise –her telephone number. Their divorce in 1996 was messy with Berry filing a restraining order requesting Justice remain at least 500 yards from her Hollywood Hills home. She admits the contemplated suicide after their divorce and he said when they were in Bermuda for their anniversary that they both agreed their marriage was a mistake, “I always felt I was walking on eggshells with her. Everything I did was wrong.”
