Alabama State University’s president Joseph H. Silver Sr. is the 13th president to serve in the position in the school’s 168-year history. The North Carolina native received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from St. Augustine’s College. His master’s and doctorate degrees in political science were received from Atlanta University.
